*Shirt image is a simulated illustration only - actual color may vary.  A fantastic High Opacity (HO) ink that should be on the shelf of every shop!  The Texsource SO (Super Opaque) series of plastisol screen printing inks represent the very highest opacity inks on the market. They are recommended for Direct Manual or Automatic Printing (wet-on-wet or single color) on black and very dark colored garments. They have a soft, creamy consistency for ease of use. They are an excellent ink choice for printing on cotton and cotton/synthetic blends where maximum opacity is desired.

Texsource SO Inks are low-bleed, non-phthalate, low-fusing, fast-flashing, low-tack, plastisol-based printing inks that will make your prints simple and trouble free.

As always care should be taken when printing on 100% polyester garments, especially when printing lighter colors on dark garments.  These colors may be particularly affected by dye migration issues.  For maximum opacity, consider the use of an underbase print such as a blocker gray.

SUBSTRATES
Our SO series inks are best suited for 100% cotton and cotton blends (50/50).  Excellent results can also be seen on newer Tri-Blend shirts.  Care should be taken when printing on 100% polyester garments as an underbase may be required.  These inks are equally at home on small manual presses or larger production automatic presses.  For printing on nylon and nylon blend shirts the use of a catalyst such as Nylobond may be needed for proper adhesion.

CURING
Although curing times and temperatures will vary depending on equipment, substrate, and environment, a general guideline would be to set curing temperature to 320f with an approximate dwell time of 60 seconds.

MIXING
The Texsource SO series of inks can be used with a variety of common additives such as reducers, stretch, puff, thickener, etc.  Refer to mixing instructions from your additive supplier for proper mixing ratios and instructions.

EMULSIONS
These inks can be used with all reputable emulsion brands that are for use with plastisol inks.  This includes dual cure, diazo, and photopolymer emulsions.

CLEANUP
The SO series inks are easy to clean with most brands of screen wash or ink remover products.  As always, use proper safety procedures when handling ink or chemical products including proper hand and eye protection.
